They're all pretty easy to get from the look of them (thank GOD no Fucking Gnome™ achievement) and I think you should be able to do them all in one playthrough. The only reason I noticed was because I was getting a hankering for some more co-op goodness and I remembered the Synergy mod and so when I fired it up to reconfigure my controls, I noticed the achievement menu option that I didn't remember being there before. There's like 33 achievements! The last time I played HL2, was like almost 2 years ago and there weren't any at all at the time (IIRC, achievements weren't associated with any HL2 release until episode 2).
